in response to ldyann589...   Oh my goodness! I'll tell you what; someone at that jail would feel my wrath after going through something like that! I am very sorry that happened to you.

There are several ways I can help. First of all, what type of work does your husband do? If he has any painting experience and don't mind drive to Rockmart, GA, I can recommend him to my husband who is a painter when he lands another project. However, my husband's work is not steady and he is currently not working. Does your husband have a resume? I can do a resume for him or revise the one he has at no charge. I've taken numerous resume writing classes and have done many resumes for many people in the past. Have you contacted any of your creditors regarding your current situation? Sometimes it helps to write to them and explain what is going on. Sometimes they will write off all or part of your debt. I'm living proof that is possible, because I've used this technique myself. I'll help with the letters. Just let me know.

I am gloria & i live in Alabama & my husband & i were fosterparents for 6yrs my husband was at his job for 12yrs,we r not even from alabama & we dont even know very many people here .I am typing this as my husband is out looking for a job ,he has only had small jobs here & there & was on unemployment for a year when a company hired him & we were so happy, well 2 weeks ago they laid him off...Here we go agian.we r no longer foster parents & it makes me very sad...But we r raising our 2yr old grand daughter,my husband is trying to get his unemployment back but that takes a while ,we r just trying to hold on 1 more month & pray that he will get a job& that someone in alabama will read this even & give him a job {CLOSE TO HAYDEN IN BLOUNT COUNTY}(1-205-559-7417/home phone) Our house payment of $711 is late. Our water bill of $61.80 is late. Our phone bil of $126.98 is about to be due and if the phone gets cut off there is no way for anyone to get intouch with us about a job. We have about three days worth of food left in the fridge. We have a car that we can not trust, not asking for money for a car, just a car that is safe for my grandaughter to ride in. If anyone can help please call..anything is appreciated, i know this is just another sob story to alot of people but just trying to hold on one more month. We dont know if this is the reason my husband cant find a job or not but this is our story. July of last year my husband was stopped for going over the speed limit and they said he had a warrant for no sticker on his lisence plate from two years before, my husband told the officer it had been paid. So the officer called the police department and he said they said there was a warrant. They ended up taking him to jail over night, he went to court the next morning and he told the judge the ticket had been paid, the judge called the courthouse, and they said the ticket had been paid. The judge said do whatever to get him released because the ticket had been paid, no one ever said sorry about the mistake or anything or that sort. When i went and picked him up that day, we joked around about him being in a magazine called Just Busted. We thought he might be in it even though it was a false arrest. We went and picked the magazine up the next day and it had a mugshot of my husband in it and under it, it said his offense was molestation of a child under 12, not for the supposed warrant of not having a sticker on the lisence plate. Throughout the next few weeks our mailbox was vandalized more than once, we recieved threating phone calls, and at the time we were fosterparents and DHR came to our house and said if we couldnt explain what was going on and prove it wasnt true they would be forced to take the fosterchildren and our grandaughter away. My husband has had trouble finding a job ever since this has happend, and even though we have a lawsuite, which will take awhile, and the lawyer will get paid when we get paid. Now we have come to the point were we cant pay or bills becasue my husband can not get a job. If you can give my husband a job or help us in any way please contact me by e-mail or phone. My phone number is at the top...thank you

in response to Inspiration...   Inspiration, Thank You for the website information on relocation grants. It is helpful to know that there are grants to help move across country to a drier climate out there but for some reason this site does not mention how or where to apply for such grants. Frustrated! But honestly do appreciate your continued help. Thank you so much, its nice to know that people do actually care.

in response to Inspiration...   Thank you very much. I have heard of relocation grants and retraining grants. My pain now is chronic and in my hands so its hard to say at this point if I will be able to work again or not. I do know that during Arizona visits over the past years have made the pain go away miraculously! My intent is to move and work if possible. Thank you Inspiration for your time.

am Permanently disabled on SSDI due to degenerative arthritis in both thumb/wrists. I have had 11 surgeries and many joints fused and bones removed. I wish to relocate to AZ from Minnesota because the cold climate causes chronic pain that I can no longer tolerate. I have lived in Tucson, AZ before and feel the dry climate would help very much. I would like to work again if I am able without pain. Please help me I dont know where to find the right grant to apply for relocation and even cannot write my own grant to apply. I need direction. dsparkhurst@charter.net
